Seasonal Tarts

Seasonal Tarts

Tarts are probably the easiest, most beautiful desserts one can make; it's amazing how delicious something so simple can taste. Whenever I go fruit picking, whether it's for June's ripe strawberries, August's juicy peaches, or early October's crisp apples, I always try to whip up a couple of these lil guys once I get home.

Local fruit doused in varying combinations of raw granulated sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and jelly/preserves then delicately placed on homemade dough or thawed puff pastry is usually all it takes. Photographed and posted here is a peach and berry summer tart as well as three apple rose tarts with homemade caramel filling. Though I really just winged it, below are a couple recipes that readers might like to refer to if replicating these awesome treatz.
